Our Sports Leaders

At Charlwood Village Primary School we understand the important part that PE and sport plays in keeping us fit and healthy and ready to learn.

Our pupils take part in the daily run and we have several coaches enhancing PE and sport in our school and providing support and training for our teachers.

In addition to this pupils in Year 4, 5 and 6 have the opportunity to be a Sports Leader. Pupils have to apply for this role and be interviewed for it. Their role is to lead and inspire our pupils to develop a love of being active. After attending specific leadership training with Active Surrey they organise and run activities at playtime, whole school running competitions, sports day as well as meet every two weeks to identify ways of improving PE and sport in our school.
