Children have a natural curiosity in their environment and it is this early exploration of their world that forms the basis of our science today. The science is topic based and develops into the other curriculum areas.   Children work best from first hand experience and we give plenty of opportunities for discovery.

The children will use particular pieces of equipment to help them with their science activities; lenses and viewers, electrical and weather equipment, droppers, force meters and thermometers as well as much of the maths measuring equipment.

Through science the children are encouraged to have respect for their world. They learn of the importance of caring for their world and the effects that man can have on it, both good and bad.
