Charlwood Village Infant School

Information and Communication Technology Print E-mail

The Government has invested heavily in bringing Information Communication Technology, or ICT, into all primary schools. Each of our classes has a number of multi-media PC's all of which are linked to the Internet.

Most children come to school knowing how to operate the television and video, and nowadays many families also own a computer which children may be familiar with.

At school we aim to build on this knowledge, introducing the children to our technology and programmes which are appropriate. As the children's skills and understanding increase, they are encouraged to begin to make their own selections from structured menus.

Each classroom is equipped with its own interactive whiteboard which is used across the curriculum and becomes and integral part of class life.
