Charlwood Village Infant School

Welcome

At Charlwood we believe that every child is important

Our warm, friendly atmosphere allows our children to learn, to grow and to become the confident, capable boys and girls who we are always sad to see leave at the end of their stay at Charlwood.

Welcome to our school website which I hope will both increase your interest as well as answering your questions.

Although the website should give you an excellent overall picture of the school please do make an appointment to visit us where you can see for yourself what is actually happening within the classrooms and school grounds.

I would also appreciate comments on ways of improving the website to make it more information and user friendly.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely

Prospectus 2009-2010
The school

Each year the school produces a Prospectus, which tells parents what we have to offer to their children.

The full prospectus is available to download, but a word of WARNING!

It's a very large file, at approximately 14Mb.

Early Years
Teaching and Learning

Early childhood is a crucial stage in development, as a significantly high proportion of learning takes place from birth to age six. They attend mornings only and usually become fulltime in the term in which they reach five. Summer born children may start fulltime in January subject to agreement.

Aims and Ethos
Teaching and Learning

By working closely with the home environment we encourage children to develop their all round abilities which will help prepare them both academically, for later stages in their education, as well as laying foundations towards their becoming valued future citizens in the community.
